Learning how to be more mindful and live in the present moment can give you a greater appreciation for your life. Living in the present moment can reduce feelings of stress, depression, and anxiety.

A walk in nature can also reduce stress and help you to be mindful of your environment.  When standing still for a moment in the woods, one might see a face in a tree, perhaps catch a scent of cedar or pine, hear the wildlife as they communicate with one another, touch and feel the texture of a leaf or acorn, or tapping a tree for a taste of maple syrup.

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they’re still beautiful.
